Native Americans of the Nansemond tribe held a Powwow in Suffolk, Virginia on August 20th and the 21st. Tribal members performed a variety of traditional dances and music for the public. The Nansemond are one of the last remaining tribes of the Powhatan empire and have been recognized by Virginia as a tribe since 1984.
