Occupy Seattle protesters were arrested in Westlake Park, after they defied City of Seattle mandates to remove their tents. Park Rangers and police enforced their orders and made arrests of those who refused to disperse. USA. 5th October 2011
Occupy Seattle protestors were arrested in Westlake Park, Seattle, Wednesday, October 5, 2011 as they defied City of Seattle mandates to remove their tents.
Protestors were given an opportunity to take down their tents before Park Rangers and City of Seattle police enforced came through and cleared Westlake Plaza of the tents. Some individuals decided to comply and take down their tents. Others refused the mandate, and remained. Some protestors linked arms in front of the tents. Police arrested 25 individuals,
Occupy Seattle demonstrators were protesting in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Their protest encompassed an array of issues including corporate greed, health care and the environment.
