The occupy movement has spread to the city of Calgary, a notorious oil-rich city home to many of the big banks, oil executives, and corporations this movement is seeking to enter in dialogue with. Canada. 15th October 2011
Infront of Banker's Hall, Calgary Alta, is the occupy Calgary movement where more than 300 locals showed up, signs in hand, on Saturday, Oct. 15th. People of all ages raised their voices to declare "Who's Streets? Our streets!" "We are the 99%", and many other exclaimations about what their governance system is doing about poverty, distribution of wealth, and many other issues. Though not unified in their specific stances, the people of the Occupy Calgary movement all agreed "Something has to change."
