Around 500.000 protesters took to the streets and squares in Madrid on a massive demonstration related to the global protest 'United for global change', occurring simultaneously in almost 1000 cities worldwide on October 15th 2011
The centre of Madrid overflowed with ‘indignant’ protestors on Saturday night as part of the worldwide action which has its roots in Spain. 500.000 took to the street protest about the financial markets, the banks, the spending cuts or the precarious employment situation.
In Madrid, the "United for Global Change" march has ended with two public assemblies in Sol square.
Across the world, demonstrations were seen first in Asia, in Tokyo and Seúl, and then later in Sydney and Melbourne. Around 1000 cities on five continents have been taking part.
