In 2010, she was a candidate for the leadership of the FN set up by Jean-Marie Le Pen on 5 October 1972. She successfully succeeded him during the FN congress in Tours, Indre-et-Loire. On 16 January 2011, she was elected with 67.65% (11,546 votes) as the second president of the Front National.
She will run for the 2012 French presidential election.
After a coffee and some introductions, she posed with Assunta Almirante and Francesco Aracri.
The table started and few people had the chance to ask some questions to her.
She answered and dedicated herself to some interviews and to people asking for a signature on the book.
At the end of the visit she kindly talked to other people and had another interview outside the palace.
