Brief history
The alebrije, is a Mexican crafts of recent recognition invented by Pedro Linares Lopez in 1936 in the Mexico City done of different types of paper and painted with happy and vibrant colors. Generally they represent to an imaginary animal shaped by elements fisionómicos of several different animals.
The cardboard factory is a technology used for the production of piñatas and judas, who consists of the shaped one of the paper, as a rule is periodic with carton, for what the alebrijes are a variation of the cardboard factory. His origin is in the Mexico City, Mexico D.F. and his creator, Pedro Linares Lopez, account that being very sick, at the edge of the death, it dreamed that it was in a forest where it saw these beings who were accompanying it in his way on returning to the conscience and also he listened to a group of creatures shouting: "Alebrijes", "Alebrijes", of there that was using this word to that he listened in his dream to name to the figures that it saw.

Breve historia
El alebrije, es una artesanía mexicana de reciente reconocimiento inventada por Pedro Linares López en 1936 en la Ciudad de México, hecha de diferentes tipos de papel y pintada con colores alegres y vibrantes. Generalmente representan a un animal imaginario, conformado por elementos fisionómicos de varios animales diferentes.
La cartonería es una técnica utilizada para la elaboración de piñatas y judas, que consiste en el modelado del papel, por lo regular es periódico con cartón, por lo que los alebrijes son una variación de la cartonería. La técnica utilizada para los alebrijes es con una estructura de alambre o de carrizo, la modelación con papel y cartón, diferentes técnicas de acabado y pintado.
Su origen se encuentra en la Ciudad de México, México D.F. y su creador, Pedro Linares López, cuenta que estando muy enfermo, al borde de la muerte, soñó que estaba en un bosque donde vio a estos seres que lo acompañaban en su camino de regreso a la conciencia y también escuchó un grupo de criaturas gritando: "Alebrijes", "Alebrijes", de ahí que usara esta palabra que escuchó en su sueño para nombrar a las figuras que vio.
