Torrential rain fell in the capital and throughout the Leinster region with some houses suffering from internal flooding. Due to deteriorating conditions, many main roads were temporarily closed. Ireland. 24th October 2011

Torrential rain occurred today since the early evening. A huge number of houses have been flooded inside with rain water and debris due to massive raining. Bus services have been delayed and Train service cancelled as well as Dublin Airport flights due to torrential rain. Emergency service 112 has registered an high number of incoming calls so they asked to call the 999 instead. Some cars in the street have been swept by the rain water.
