Taisho Jidai Matsuri which is Japanese for Taisho Period (1912-1926) Festival is an historical reenactment parade in authentic costumes, Saitama, Japan. 29th October, 2011. It has been 100 years since Taisho period, and the 20th anniversary of the festival.
People in its historical reenactment parade dressed in authentic costumes, representing Taisho
period (1912-1926), Meiji-prewar Showa period. The historical costumes and characters such as police, military, student, Geisha and common people that are displayed in the parade.. Also people play music, dance and perform at the era. Present money can be changed to the ones used in Taisho period at the special money exchange bureau for shopping at the festival.
Yono station was built in the first year of Taisho era, in 1912. Culture, art and life style had been affected by Europe and America in Taisho period.
