With no relief in sight to the flood waters descending on Bangkok, people have been buying fashionable rubber boots in many styles, and pretty plastic pants to complete the ensemble in an attempt to stay dry. Thailand. 6th November 2011

Rubber boots, and plastic pant are the latest fashion craze in Bangkok during this flooding. Some say the latest designs were inspired from traditional fishing wear, with others insisting the unique designs were created solely with Thailand's flood waters in mind.

Whichever crowd you choose to believe there is no denying the craze is sweeping across Bangkok. Most are choosing the functionality of the fishing design with its calf cut top over fashion for the durability, but the fashion crowd prefer the knee high thin design for dry feet.

One creation tried to incorporate both durability with a thigh high dry factor, but as those critiquing the work found the basic bright orange color only works in the street, and those fashionably dressed in Bangkok use the sidewalks.
