Thousands of students and anti-government protesters marched and demonstrated against tuition fee increases and cuts in services. Police were out in force to prevent a recurrence of rioting that took place in 2010. UK. 9th November 2011
Thousands of students and anti government protesters marched and demonstrated against cuts and the bail out to banks, a large gathering formed at Malet street and marched to Trafalgar Square and then across the city. Placards carried by the protesters showed how discontent students are with the current government.
Around an hour after protesters breached police lines and set up tents in Trafalgar Square they were removed and arrested by police. The march was loud and aggressive, over 4000 police were on duty and had warned the use of batons and plastic bullets could be used if there was any repeat of last years riots.
