Approximately 100 protesters pitch tents and occupy outside of Cardiff Castle to join the other occupations around the world against Anti-capitalism. UK. 11th November 2011
On Remembrance day a group of anti-capitalist protesters congregated at Aneurin Bevan statue who was the founder of the NHS. They started the short march at 14:00 and ended up outside of Cardiff Castle to pitch their tents. The reason is to join the other occupations which are going on around the World with the first in New York.
Around 18:30 the Police prepared to move the protesters in the pouring rain with success. The Police moved their tents and moved the protesters back to the Subway where they dispersed. The Police said due due to a by law which originated from 1875 the protester did not have the right to camp outside of the castle which is owned council property.
