A small group of protesters from the Occupy LSX Camp and members of UKUncut hold a small protest outside the US Embassy in Grosvenor Square to show support for the sister-occupations in the USA. UK. 15th November 2011
A group of protesters from the OccupyLSX tent city at St. Paul's Cathedral were joined by members of anti-cuts group UK Uncut to protest today outside the US Embassy in Grosvenor Square against the violent methods used by the US authorities to break up their sister-occupations in Wall Street and Portland which has seen several peaceful protesters critically injured, causing many to recall the execessive violence used in the 1960's against the anti-Vietnam War protests which saw several young students shot and killed by the Federal Government.
In what seemed like an over-reaction, obviously afraid that the protesters might set up a small tented occupation, the Metropolitan Police barricaded and guarded all access to the pavement in front of the embassy entrance, and the adjoining Grosvenor Square was also locked shut, denying protesters and members of the public lawful entrance.
