Fawcett Society - "Don’t turn back time on women’s equality"
Fawcett Society members and supporters demonstrate against the erosion of womens rights and the impact of the government's cuts on equality and the services that women depend upon. London, UK. 19th November 2011
Fawcett Society members and supporters marching and campaigning today to “tell David Cameron ‘don’t turn back time’ on women’s equality. The 50’s themed demonstration is designed to highlight the growing inequality affecting women in the governments’ response to the financial crisis. The Fawcett Society say “progress on equality for women is being dismantled. A record number of women are out of work, women are bearing the brunt of benefit cuts, and vital services women rely on are drying up”.
