On Friday, November 25, 2011, dozens of protestors marched from the Manhattan office of Point Lookout Capital -- the major shareholder in tear gas manufacturer Combine Systems (CSI) -- to the Egyptian Consulate, to protest the use of American tear gas in Tahrir Square, Cairo.
CSI is a weapons manufacturer that sells tear gas to Egypt, which is being used by SCAF (the Supreme Council of the Armed Force in Egypt) against protestors in Tahrir Square. With a manufacturing plant in western Pennsylvania, CSI's largest shareholder is Point Lookout Capital, in midtown Manhattan. Egyptian and American protestors, along with a small contingent from Occupy Wall Street, gathered outside the office of Point Lookout Capital to demand that CSI stop selling tear gas to Egypt.
The demonstrators marched to the Egyptian Consulate, on Second Avenue, and showed support with the protestors in Tahrir Square. They demanded the SCAF step down and make way for civilian leaders in Egypt.
