The first snow of winter fell across Northern Ireland last night, affecting all areas including Belfast. Colin Brown of Roads Service said it was prepared for a "consistent cold period" over the next week and urged drivers and pedestrians to take care. Angie Phillips from the BBC weather centre said that most of the snow fell on counties Londonderry, Tyrone and Fermanagh, with up to four inches possible on higher ground.
