Dublin's Mansion House is the setting as the Live Animal Crib opens and will remain in place until Christmas Eve. The unique crib features a nativity scene and live animals provided by the Irish Farmers Association. Ireland. 8th December 2011

Dublin's Mansion House was the setting today for the Irish Farmer's Association's (IFA) festive Live Animal Crib. Now in its 17th year the crib has become an integral part of Christmas in Dublin and has grown in popularity since its inception. The crib is particularly popular with youngsters as it enables children to have access to a variety of farm animals in the centre of the city.

Admission to the crib is free although charitable donations to the Mansion House Fuel Fund are welcomed. The IFA crib portrays the traditional nativity scene with live animals in a stable setting and runs from the 8th of December until 24th of December
