Clashes over Democratic Republic of Congo Elections - Brussels
Congolese residents in the Matongé area of the city protested against alleged fraudulent voting in Democratic Republic of Congo elections. Police arrested 30 people during the demonstration after shop windows were smashed. Belgium. 8th December 2011
Congolese residents in "Matongé" neighbourhood in Brussels protest against Kabila's fraudulous votes in Democratic Republic of Congo Thursday night. About 30 persons were arrested, some quite muscular! - Brussels, December 8, 2011.
Brussels Matongé neighbourhood is named after the festive neighbourhood in Kinshasa (DRC). Congolese people are unhappy about the seems-to-be fraudulous votes in their homeland and took the street to protest. Many shopwindows were broken and cars put to fire.
