Protest tent to remind the Minister of Interior of secularity
A protest tent was setup in the old Port of Marseilles, reminding the French of their secular tradition as a response to the ultra-right wing Minister of Interior's comments regarding religion. France. 9th December 2011
A protest tent to "protect secularity" in France was set today in the old port as a respond to the word of Claude Gueant Praising the importance of the religions in Europe. The minister of Interior is known to be ultra rightists and some even compared him to Marine Le Pen from the National Front extreme right party.
Claude Gueant said that a religious dialog should be opened in churches and communities. When these words comes from a minister of a country that separated religion from state many years ago, the citizens have a reason to fear.
