Demonstration to mark the 3rd anniversary of 'Cast Lead' outside the Israeli Embassy in London
The demonstration was called by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, British Muslim Initiative, Jews for Justice for Palestinians, Friends of Al Aqsa, Stop the War Coalition, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and the Palestinian Forum in Britain and supported by many other groups including the Muslim Association of Britain, Unite and PCS trade unions and the anti-Zionist Jews of Neturei Karta.
Operation Cast Lead was a three-week bombing and invasion of the Gaza Strip by Israel, and hundreds of rocket attacks on south of Israel which started on December 27, 2008.
The conflict resulted in between about 1,417 Palestinian and 13 Israeli deaths.
