The Frozen Dead Guy Celebration in Nederland, Colorado gets a new owner. Amanda MacDonald has purchased the rights and the celebration will go on March 2-4, 2012.
The Frozen Dead Guy Festival is 10 years old and celebrates the corpse of Bredo Morstoel which was packed in dry ice and preserved in a Tuff Shed at the mountain town. He died in 1989 at the age of 89 and his Norwegian family preserved his body in hopes technology will be developed to bring him back to life.
The festival attracted approximately 15,000 people in 2011 and has featured a parade of hearses, frozen salmon tossing and coffin races.
