Occupy Philadelphia Protests National Defense Authorization Act

Protesters engaged in day-long 'flash mic-checks' at various locations throughout the city centre in an effort to educate the public about the controversial National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Philadelphia, USA. 5th January 2012
President Barack Obama signed NDAA into law on December 31st, 2011. The NDAA allows for indefinite detention of U.S. citizens deemed terrorists, without being specifically charged, and gives the President the discretion to use military detention and trials for Americans.
Occupy Philadelphia participants protested in various locations, including Suburban Station, Liberty Place shopping center, and Reading Terminal Market, where they were abruptly ejected.
