Fallen tree blocks London road

High winds caused a tree to fall across London Road, High Wycombe on Thursday 05/01/2012, there were no injuries reported, but traffic was heavily impacted causing tail backs in both directions, reaching as far back as the M40 junction 3 turn off, as two of the three lanes were completely blocked.

Police were called just after 8.00am, around the same time a passing motorist with a saw stopped to assist in clearing the tree.

Later in the day council workers removed the remaining debris.
