Building the Berlin Wall in Warsaw
Building the Berlin Wall in Warsaw
08.11.2009 Warsaw, Poland. Warsaw is participating in the 20th anniversary of the overthrow of the German - Berlin Wall. At the Cracow Square in the center of Warsaw stands an imitation of the wall made of 5 large styrofoam blocks and cement. The imitation wall is a project from the German Embassy and 3 students, Alfred Laskowskie – Wojtek Urbanski and Jan Gielda, from the Art Academy from Warsaw. Tommorrow artists will start painting the wall “The imitation wall will be living just like the original Berlin Wall” said Mr. John Reyels – Press Attaché from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
