The Cory Aquino Wake and Funeral: A Nation Says Goodbye

These images were at the Cory Aquino wake at La Sallee Greenhills, the Manila Cathedral, and then the main avenues of EDSA and then Ayala Avenue, the country's premier business district, then through the Roxas Boulevard where throngs of ordinary Filipinos got a glimpse of their former president. The former president was brought to her final resting place at the Manila Memorial Park on August 5. She was buried beside her slain husband Ninoy Aquino, believed to have been murdered by the Marcoses in 1983.
