Now on the positive side. I

Now on the positive side. I very much like the photo of the girl, chanting, with the raised banned, and the frame (and the overcast sky) is nicely, filled there with the banner), and that photo for me is the best one. I like also the one (somewhere in the middle) with the marchers going through an neighbourhood. And the last one is wonderful too, becaase it gives the scale of the demo.

Keep going and you will definitely improve, and congrats for the front page on demotix.

Geoffus, I like most of the pictures there, but I because I have covered many demonstrations of this kind just few points of criticism, which I hope will help you. Firstly the photoshop in the 3'rd picture is a no no, (there is one more further down too). So the photo should be either ib&w or colour. The passing car in one of the photos is distractive to the eye, and in another other photo with the two demonstrators with placards the background is completely empty of demonstators, and boring indeed. You have too many pictures form the front of the demo, and those pictures usually tend to be boring, as they are most obvious ones. Then you need pay attendion to the overcast sky and try to avoid it when you can.

The Drop Fees campaign is initiated by the Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario, the student organisation representing over 300,000 college and university students across Ontario. 

The Drop Fees campaign calls for changes to be made to current government post-secondary education policy that will positively benefit students and the sector in general.

On the November 5 Student Day of Action to Drop Fees, over 10,000 students took to the streets in Ontario to demand a more affordable and accessible system of post-secondary education.

Students in 14 cities: Windsor, London, Guelph, Hamilton, Toronto, Mississauga, Scarborough, Peterborough, Orillia, Kingston, Ottawa, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury and Thunder Bay demonstrated to show that tuition fees are too high and that the time has come for the government to reduce tuition fees of post-secondary educational institutions in Ontario.
