Christos anesti! Alleluia! (Christ is risen!) proclaimed Dr John Sentamu, The Archbishop of York, at todays Easter Celebrations in York Minster. Alithos anesti (He is risen indeed!) enthusiastically replied the congregation. Dr Sentamu led worship today celebrating this the most holy day in the Christian calendar. In a sermon that was both easy going whilst being poigniant Dr Sentamu offered a message of hope, peace and justice to the whole world from York Minster. Dr Sentamu then took Holy Communion and greeted the congregation as their Archbishop and friend after ther service was concluded. York is second only to Canterbury in the Anglicon Episcopal hirearchy. I was both honoured and pleased to be allowed to photograph the entire service both inside and outside of York Minster.'
