290 masters of stone sculpture from 57 countries are registered with the 2009 Hualien International Stone Sculpture Festival - Outdoor Stone Sculpture Symposium. The 12 finalist sculptors selected by the selection committee are invited to be in the 2009 International Stone Sculpture e-Symposium, Hualien, Taiwan.
Artists are invited to create stone sculptures that respond to the themes of Hualien's culture, tradition as well as her unique landscape.
The main part of the creating process should be on-site stone sculpturing.
