Families returning home to Swat Valley, Pakistan on August 19th 2009. Earlier this year the Pakistani army bombarded the region to oust possible Taliban sentiments in the region.
Refugees from the Swat Valley that were instructed to flee the region are on the way home.
The mainly ethnic Pashtuns left their homes in the picturesque Swat valley this year after the Pakistani government was pressured by America to contain possible Taliban in the region.
The refugees or IDP's (internally displaced people) sit with their belongings and wait for the bus at Karachi bus station.
Roughly "1200 internally displaced people departed on a 20-hour journey to their villages from the southern seaport Karachi on Sunday", stated a government official overlooking the repatriation process.
