About 22 foreign youths of Indian origin visited Golden Temple, the most sacred place for sikhs all over the world, under the 'Know India Programme' of the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) in coordination with the Confedration of Indian Industry and Tourism Department, Punjab. This Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs has been organizing the Know India Programme in order to associate the younger generation of the Indian Diaspora closely with India. The Know India Programme provides a unique forum for students and young professionals of Indian origin to share their views and experience to bond closely with contemporary India.
