British Legion volunteer selling poppies to raise money for Remembrance Day in the UK. London, UK. 6/11/2009.
Volunteer selling poppies to people in the street, to raise money for the dependants of those men and women who died or were wounded in armed service for their country in past and recent conflict. The Poppy Appeal volunteer pictured is James Sweetman who has reported sales of over £1,000 this week, more than twice the money raised in the same week in 2008. A reflection of the British Public's concern and support for our services personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan.
