Citizens fight back against road conditions

“Wet Chair, Please Be Seated Bureaucrat” written on a cardboard placed on a plastic chair right in the middle of a busy road. “Fishing spot” said another. The people are just fed-up with the aftertaste of recent projects that involved roads improvements and water pipe installment across the city. The projects that had begun since 2008 left serious problems that hasn't been seriously tackled until today.

While victims had fallen. The people on street vendors by the side of the road on one section of the city said that among the accidents: people fell from their bikes and lost their toes, trucks that got jammed and had their loads poured to the ground, there were also people that lost their lives. A high season for local hospitals.

And the local government has been playing throws, but no one want to catch the ball. Not the state owned water company, not the contractor. Shady dealings had been confirmed by insiders in the local house of representatives. Allegedly there were other more efficient proposals from other contractors.
