Swine Flu Assam - High alert after one positive case detected
Swine Flu awareness in Assam after 1st positive case found. Guwahati, India. 15/08/09.

Mass Awareness and Surveillance of swine flu has been intensified in the Guwahati Railway Station, the prime railway station of northeast India on Sunday, August 16, 2009, after Assam recorded its first positive case of swine flu on Saturday (15th August 2009).
A student form Pune, Dhiraj Yadab, who has come from Pune to his sister’s place in Guwahati tested positive.
Apart from that earlier one patient with positive H1N1 attack in under treatment in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, already. State Health Department started information centres with awareness and monitoring camps at every sensitive locations, like airport and railway stations and inter state bus terminus to have constant vigil on the passengers and people’s safety. Already Twenty Seven (27) people died in the H1N1 viral disease in different parts of India till 16th August 2009.
