The Wave climate march in London
Around 40,000 people marched through Central London today ahead of the Copenhagen Climate Summit next week. Around 40,000 people marched through Central London today ahead of the Copenhagen Climate Summit next week. The protesters from a wide range of groups under the banner of The Wave, were calling on the UK to do more to tackle climate change domestically and for the international community to take strong action next week in Copenhagen.
The march which started in Grosvenor Square by the American Embassy, wound its way through London before arriving in Westminster where the 1.000s of protesters circled around parliament. It was the largest climate protest the UK has ever seen.
