Keraton Surakarta Kasunanan ceremonies commemorating establish a new Islamic year 1431 Hijri with a number of heritage and carnival descendants of Kyai Slamet buffalo, which are considered sacred by the court and the community.
Ceremony at the palace of Surakarta Kasunanan lasts from Day Thursday (17/12) at 21:00 pm until Friday morning (18/12) 01.00 am within the palace complex.
Meanwhile, tens of thousands of people had gathered along the procession, buffalo crossing the descendants of Kyai Slamet Caucasians (the sacred bull by the Surakarta). They are waiting for the procession, buffalo pass group Kyai Slamet as cucuk lampah (guardian) of the heritage palace and then fighting buffaloes dirt to expect a blessing.
