Hundreds of Ugandans took to the streets in support of a government anti-homosexuality bill that is at the floor of parliament.
The Bill is passed would make it illegal to practice same sex marriage which will be punishable by death.
If the accused person is HIV positive or a serial offender, or a "person of authority" over the other partner, or if the "victim" is under 18, a conviction will result in the death penalty.
Pastor Sempa, a critic of same sex marriage took a petition to the Ugandan parliament after the procession in support of the governments proposal.
As International pressure mounts on Ugandan government to reject the proposed bill, Britain and Canada have already protested over a proposed law.
Gordon Brown followed Stephen Harper, the Canadian Prime Minister, in telling Uganda that the legislation was unacceptable.
The White house has over the past few weeks released a statement opposing the proposed law: “The president strongly opposes efforts, such as the draft law pending in Uganda, that would criminalize homosexuality and move against the tide of history.”
Despite claims world wide that should the Bill be passed into law, making Uganda one of the most dangerous areas in the world for same sex partners, pastor Sempa insists, such acts do not have place in Uganda.
