A small group of protesters attended the event outside Serco's offices at 18-22 Hand Court in Holborn, London. The protest was in support of the 84 women that were on hunger strike since February 5th at the Yarl's Wood immigration removal centre This facility is run by Serco in conjunction with the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA).

According to many reports, on February 9th the hunger strike was violently broken up by officers that work in the facility. The women were verbally and physically assaulted and denied mediacal treatment.
