The first athletic race in the city of Braga

The 1st Race of the City of Braga was won by the international athlete Mario Silva. The main event of ten thousand meters, a mini-marathon and a walk of five miles, all of which were essentially calling for the active participation of athletes and residents of the city. At the finish line of the 1st Race of the City of Braga, athletic competition held on Sunday morning, organized by the City Council, in partnership with Atletica and the technical support of the Athletics Association of Braga, many were the winners of various categories that rose the podium. A main event of ten thousand meters, a mini-marathon and a walk of five miles, met the target that was essentially calling for the active participation of athletes and residents of the city. At the end of the event were honored the international athletes Mario Silva, Conceicao Ferreira, Albertina Machado and trainer Sameiro Araújo.

Na meta da 1ª Corrida Cidade de Braga, prova de atletismo que decorreu no passado domingo de manhã, numa organização da Câmara Municipal, em parceria com a Atletica e o apoio técnico da Associação de Atletismo de Braga, muitos foram os vencedores das diversas categorias que subiram ao podium. Uma prova principal de dez mil metros, uma mini-maratona e uma caminhada de cinco quilómetros cumpriram o objectivo que era, essencialmente, apelar à participação activa dos atletas e dos habitantes da cidade. No final da prova foram homenageados os atletas internacionais Mário Silva, Conceição Ferreira, Albertina Machado e a treinadora Sameiro Araújo.
