Between Heaven and Hell, is so that on the night of San Paulo you can run into many strange situations. In the city center, which offers several options for nightlife, within walking distance from each other are the Cristoteca and hell.
The Cristoteca is run by a Catholic named Mercy, and is part of a broader recovery of adolescents and has as objective to create examples different from those prevailing. Nothing to do with mass singing of Harlem or the evangelical churches of South American style, this is' a "balada" to all effects, music and technology among young wild strobe lights and Catholic sacred images, the image of the Madonna and mastered the crucifix at the side of the DJ as to check that the faithful disco to behave well. Is banned too driven approaches, the kisses, cigarette smoking and any type of drug, the cocktails in the bar called Cristodrinks are all based on energy drinks and guaranĂ , strictly alcohol-free and at low prices. The names decidedly unusual: Mount Tabor, San Francisco, Mother Teresa etc.. etc. .. The young men and women from teenagers to thirty after having followed a very special Mass, with the guitars, drums and electronic music but with a real Catholic priest, are carried by the rhythm of the disco classic Tecno most popular until the early hours of dawn. The images of Jesus are projected on the walls at pace and the statue of the Madonna is covered with light yellow, green and purple in a crescendo "House." A group of about thirty people, "Angels of God", check that you behave according to the rules of the house are all volunteers involved in other activities of a missionary.
Musicians and DJ's take turns during the evening, ExaltaDeus, and EletroCristo primeiros Anjos. Also written on the shirts of the young, about three thousand, which is crowded every night of the weekend are subject to the philosophy of the place: Christdance, Jesus, Here in Paradise, I love you Jesus, etc..
Not far away you enter anything in the climate, "into hell", a nightclub known for its excesses and its deafening music and particularly hard. The climate and totally different and what is understood as the prohibitions are not exactly the theme of the evening. Extravagant tattoos, look dark, tricks, and a heavy public GLS. This symbol combines much of the local trendy alternative to St. Paul, Gay, Lesbian and supporters, and an audience that does not cross in front of shocked outpouring of love for people of the same sex, in fact, the offense passes mainly through this. Drug use is not advertised, but the outside as well as local opportunities to see people taking the substances of all kinds are not lacking. The cocktails here have a spirit totally opposite from the previous: The names are inspired by the tradition of the deadly sins: lust, pride and greed, the prices are significantly higher than in Cristoteca.
The dj is no longer with a crucifix above his head but between leopard lamp, smoke and red lights. After the music starts electronic music live on stage and then alternating groups Dark, Gothic and deathmetal, there are gestures anti-Christ, the devil masks, plaques with the inscription RIP (rest in peace, rest in peace) or the beautiful face of Al Pacino in the film Scarface and the public "Poga" pushing each other with violence.
