The labourers engaged by various construction companies under National Highway Authority of India clearing hills with machinery for Four-way Lane road in Assam. The clearing of trees and hills are for the expansion of road but on the other hand this is clearly effecting the environment. While the environmentalists are working for preservation of our nature to reduce the global warming problem, but this damage of environmental properties will lead to one step forward towards the problem. This will also increase the road blockade due to soil erosion. On March 21,the people of the world observe World Forestry Day. But if the people are not aware of the consequences then there is not benifit of observing this international day.A forest just doesn’t mean trees only but it’s an entire complex, living community. The reckless felling of trees is creating many problems in the surroundings so the need of the hour says that everybody should ponder seriously over it.Vegetation affects local and global climate. Trees form a protective cover of the earth as well as provide shelter to the wild animals and protect all the living beings from the solar heat and temperature. Trees absorb heat, thus helps to regulate the temperature of earth. Similarly natural wildlife is important for it is an important part of the lifecycle.
