Horse riders of different villages taking part at the traditional horse race on the occasion of Sontoli Rongali Bihu Festival, in the Char areas of Kamrup Rural district of Assam this week. Sontoli has been affected by the erosion of the river Brahmaputra and a major portion of the land has been washed away by the last fifty years. And different Char areas have been formed on the river bed. The population of this area is mostly migrated Muslim population. There economy is agrarian. And use of horses for pulling carts and others are seen every where. During the festive days of Horse Race is organised for fun as part of entertainment.
