The Indian community in Madrid are organising a Festival in Lavapies between 5 June 2009 and 7 June 2009. Activities include dance shows, dance workshops for children, film sessions from Bollywood, and a gastronomy fair in Lavapies Square.
Last night, the 6th June 2009, many people visited the gastronomy fair where they could taste some of the Indian delicacies for one euro per helping. At around eight in the evening we had a shower followed by a marvellous display of a double rainbow.
Lavapies is a very multicultural district of Madrid, between Puerta del Sol and Embajadores. It is very popular for the Indian, Arab and Spanish restaurants which attracts many people during the weekend although it is a very busy district all year round.
