On the edge of Mae Sot a town of around 120,000 on the Thai/Burma border in northern Thailand is the town's rubbish dump. It is a stinking steaming mass of rotting food and plastic. It is also home to a community of around 200 Burmese who have fled across the border in search of a better life. They eke out a meagre living by collecting and selling anything that can be recycled and live in shelters in the midst of the dump.
