World Animal Day on 4 October is that one day of the year that people all over the world remember the rights and well being of animals. It started in 1931 in Florence, Italy during a convention of ecologists. The 4th of October was chosen to remember the death of Franciscus van Assisi, a patron Saint of animals and environment. A street-dog (straydog) looks for something to eat in Pua, Nan Provence, Northern Thailand. The fact that he wears a collar shows that he has a owner or atleast someone that gives food to him, but no more then that.
