The 25th International Kite Festival was held on the Sabarmati riverfront in Ahmedabad. Organized by the Tourism Department of Gujarat, some 300 kite flyers from around the world took part in festival.

To celebrate the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, Tarun Sagar Maharaj organized an world record event in which a total of 900 people dressed up as Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd Oct. 2012 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
