Space shuttle Enterprise, riding piggy-back on a 747, arrived in New York City. The shuttle was transferred from the Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia for permanent display at the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum.

NASA's test orbiter Enterprise (OV-101) is scheduled to leave the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum Annex next week. Discovery (OV-103) arrived this week and was rolled out nose to nose with Enterprise for the official transfer ceremony.
