Colorado wildfires were reported to be 50% contained as of June 19th. These images show the smoke and scenery around a forest fire in southwest Colorado, near Pagosa Springs and Durango.

Firefighters in Colorado perform controlled burns to contain the fire, as well as combating existing fires. Three people have been killed and more than 600 homes have been destroyed in Colorado since the first fire started on June 9.
