Carnival of Nice is one of the most famous carnivals held from the 17th of February to the 4th of March in the center of Nice. This year's theme is "King of Sports". The flower battle and float show attract many tourists.
The Carnival of Nice came to a spectacular end with the traditional burning of the Carnival King at sea followed by a magnificent fireworks show on the Promenade des Anglais. Rain and bad weather caused the cancelation of the final parade.
