Future Voices Media Training

We have just launched a series of Hostile Environment Course for students, freelancers, and young media workers. We deliver educationally based content with support and assistance from 8 Major sponsors and 20 associate sponsors. Courses are run at Cost only and are held near Salisbury. Images from the first course should be on here shortly. We have over 90 years of collective experience and offer the training in Iraq and Afghanistan as well.
Hope we can offer you all some affordable support and additional post-course work placements in the Uk and further afield.
We are also looking for photogs to help us out on our courses. Its a great opportunity to work with some very well known names in the industry.

Have to say, I have problems uploading too. Although I have only had 5 stories published, it took longer to upload each of them, than it did on the actual assignments. ( that included travelling 70 miles to London and back on one assignment) But Demotix were brilliant each time and when i kept having upload problems, I sent an old fashioned e.mail along with my story and photo's to my regional co-ordinator and she got them published. Wish I didn't have to resort to that method though each time.

FTP upload works very well for me, my only gripe is that the reordering of images is a pain because they are not all displayed at once if there are a lot of them, oh and the lack of sftp and https...

But is anyone who can change any of this going to see these comments here -- shouldn't they be posted somewhere else...?

Been trying to upload a story for about 4 hours, finally got all images onto the site and the story entered, clicked save and got this 'Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 120 seconds exceeded in /srv/web-hd-03/webroot/sites/all/modules/contrib/pathauto/pathauto.inc on line 171' now all images are gone and the story is gone. It's no longer worth it. It took less time for me to shoot 500+images and 91 cyclists to race 92km than it takes to fail getting 20 images onto Demotix. If demotix doesn't succeed, it will be the image upload process that will be to blame. To sell images you need saleable images, if you get these from the public, your image upload facility is your single supplier. If your only supplier is unable to deliver, you have empty shelves and you go out of business, no matter how great the shop!
