PERSONAL STATEMENT:

I am a freelance photographer based in Mongolia. Having lived here for 3 1/2 years, I hope to provide insightful and balanced coverage of a nation poised to grow very quickly in the next decade, and to tell the stories that only become apparent after spending significant time in a place.

Ahh, ok, I was just curious. By the way, if you need any help in UB and around, you can always contact my friend Midkhat, who fro many years works and lives there. He is really nice guy and always like to host people in his apartment.

ha, no that wasn't my mother. There aren't many foreign journalists here, I only know of one other who is here doing photography more or less full time, and he's an older guy. Also, the club from my New Year's story isn't in the blue wing building, which is still under construction. You can see it from the one photo of Peace Ave and the dancers' reflection if you look close though.

By the way, in February 2009 near the mongolian embassy in London, I've met one woman, who asked for mongolian visa. She told me, that her son is a freelance photographer, and after finishing his degree in photography in the UK, he moved to Mongolia, UB. Was she your mother? I'm just curious...
We decided to meet in UB with her and her son, but it didn't happen.
