Many years spent shooting 35mm in many places and events.One day I will digitise the back catalogue! (one day.
) Whilst not a professional journalist my photography has been documentary and travel across Europe and the ME.Most of my published writing over the last two decades has been in technical magazines and conferences.In the 70's to mid 90's it was in travel and adventure magazines.
Now due to circumstance I am in a position to be more of a part time photo journalist.I have had pictures published in several national, regional and local UK newspapers.Also the BBC TV news.In addition I have had pictures used for editorial in a number of other magazines, web sites and marketing.

The well known land mark Dhruva Mistry's fountain "The River", universally known as The Floozie in the Jacuzzi, became "respectable" with the addition of a rather nice bikini top. She looked resplendant in the autumn sunshine.

With the acquittal and release of the 6 originally tried for the Birmingham pub bombings in 1974 relatives of the 21 victims protest outside the Conservative annual conference for the case to be re-opened.

STOP HS2 brought their white elephant to protest at the Tory Party Conference. Ironically the inflatable white elephant leaked and could not stand up.

A multitude of trade unions and left wing political groups held a rally in Victoria Square, within earshot of the Tory Party Conference at the ICC, to protest the government’s austerity measures. Police estimated 300-400 took part in the rally.

The ICC (International Convention Centre) was turned into a 'fortress' ahead of the Conservative party conference. Security measures included barriers, steel walls and fencing as well as the presence of armed police outside the Hyatt Regency hotel.

The BVG held a service of remembrance at the Hall of Memory before protesting at the Tory Party Conference at the NIC. The BVG wants the UK forces to come out of Afghanistan as they consider the conflict pointless and counter productive.

A vocal group of animal rights protesters made their feelings about the proposed selective badger cull known to people entering the Tory Party conference. They don't believe it will stop the spread of TB to dairy herds.
